Judging amazing books

Some time a few weeks ago in our 2 library lessons we were judging outstanding books all so good. The reason why we were judging these books was because we were finding out which book as a upper grade won the best book for the upper grade. The 4’s all the way through to the year 6 were all judging the same book to find out which one was the best. All the books were so different. They all were talking about different topics and all so interesting.

The books that we were judging were, Make Believe, Waves, Sorry day, Bouncing back, The happiness box, Our birds.

The best book in my perspective which I scored the highest was Sorry Day. A beautiful heart touching book about a girl named Maggie and her life. The reason I chose this book for my number 1 favourite was because they had such beautiful illustrations and opened up a story about a life with beautiful meaning to it. This booked touched my heart the most it made me so grateful we have heart warming books.

What makes a good information book is that you need detail and to make it clear was you are saying. You also need to grab the readers actions by words that are really powerful.
And most importantly you need facts behind what you are stating.

Which book was your favourite and Why?
